I really enjoyed this apocalyptic series by C.A. Bird. From the first book in this series to this last one it kept me captivated and not wanting to put it down just waiting to find out what was going to happen next and how it was going to end. You could feel the love, the loss and even the loneliness of the specific characters throughout this series. If you're into post apocalyptic books you'll definitely want to read this series. I'm just glad you don't have to wait for the third and final book of this series to come out like I did.Product details

Story lines tied together. No loose ends left hanging.
This has to be one of the best survival stories I have ever read.I hate to see it come to. an end.
This is the third installment of the shelter series.The scenario of a post apocalypse world is freighteningly plausable. This series of books will scare you every time you hear about China on the news.It is a fast paced read and the heros and villians are totally believable.A real page turner that reminded me of the Stand, I couldn't wait for the next book of the series.I wonder what this author will come up with next!
C A Bird is an interesting author and his talent comes out in writing, the author paints a picture of survival and family and all the hardships that would come with an adventure such as this and well worth the read............ric harrison
Really enjoyed the series. Loved the family and friends aspect. Also the horses and other animals. The ending was great. I will miss the characters as they become very real people. I thought the pace was perfect in all three books and it ended with a good closure that left you wanting to know more but not really needing more. Grewt job
I have enjoyed all three books in this series. Each part has been so different than the others and this is what has kept my interest. Of course, Ms. Bird has a great hero in Mark and he has helped people survive in each part. It was really nice having the action take place in so many different locales in the US. I
This third book in the series was just too much to wrap up the series. It was busy, rushed and so many characters, it was hard to keep up. I even found it boring one too many times. A real shame since I felt the first two books were five stars. Obviously, if you read 1 & 2 book you will want to go to 3 but I will be curious to read other opinions on this last book. So disappointed...
